I generally work with teens and adults, ages 13 and older. I have found that telehealth therapy tends to be more challenging for kids under 13, though that is not the case for all kids. If you are looking for therapy for a client under 13, and think telehealth would be a good fit for them, please reach out!

Our work together will be collaborative, authentic, and kind. I’m here to listen to your struggles, and help you work through them in a way that feels meaningful to you. I tend to use humor and metaphors to help the process feel less clinical and more comfortable.

The phone consultation gives me an opportunity to get to know you a little bit, hear what you’ve been going through, learn about your past experiences with therapy, and to make sure we’d be an appropriate therapeutic fit. If I think you might be better suited for another clinician or a higher level of care, I’ll help you get started on that path. It also gives you an opportunity to ask me any questions you may have! After the phone call, if we are a good fit, I will get you scheduled for your intake appointment.

I understand the desire to want to know if your therapist really “gets it”- what it’s like to live with mental health concerns. I personally have struggled with managing my own depression, anxiety, OCD, and ADHD since childhood, and have had some really amazing therapists help me along the way. I also am no stranger to grief, heartbreak, loss, frustration, overwhelm, and burnout. I may not have lived through the same experiences as you, but trust that I know what it’s like for life to really, really suck.

Let me know! Every therapist is not going to be a great fit for every person- we are all unique! If you’re starting to feel like you may need something else from our therapy, we can either introduce something new to our sessions, or I know a few amazing clinicians who may be a better fit. There is no shame in wanting a change!
